Hello Cashers,
I regret to say that the show didn't record, however all is not lost. The show coincided with the Milton-Keynes-Miles, one of the flagship events in the nation wide Sports Relief Campaign that has thus far earned £28 million. I ran the mile whilst the keep was guarded by previous guests Matthew Twilight and Wyndham O'Clock who also made his hat-trick of appearances on today's show.
At precisely 12:30pm I was live on air to report the build-up of the race in the presence of thousands of people who had come to show their support. Brandishing a red balloon and my registration card I whipped around the mile circuit whilst catching interviews with people I was using as pace setters. One girl donning a Village peoples moustache and police outfit managed to raise £200.
Photo's will arrive soon, and this was truly a charitable day that had captured the minds of hundreds of locals and media representatives like myself.
Arriving back at the studio I regained the helm of the studio primary microphone and thanked everyone for their support. A surprising addition to the zoo was Cash Senior who was encouraged to partake in the remainder of the show.

To the 'Burgh and back 12th-15th March
Hello and Welcome,
My two week malaise off the air has come to end, allow me to explain. I have had a cultural bonanza as a result of a connection into the Jazz world.
Thanks to my well informed Jazzer, we managed to obtain press passes to the would-be Jazz event of the year. The revered new voice of Jazz in the form of E.S.T. - that's the Esbjorn Svensson Trio - reign had come to an abrupt end following the tragic death of Esbjorn Svensson himself in a diving accident in 2008. The Bassist of the group- Dan Burglund- had released his first album since the dissolution of E.S.T. Dan Burgland's Tonbruket, after assembling an untraditional Jazz quartet with a pedal steel/guitar alongside the formidable piano, drums and bass. The event would be heralded by the Jazz world as an exciting new direction for the band as well as Jazz itself.
Saturday night in Edinburgh, I had travelled with my friend to the Queen's Hall of Edinburgh, for the event of the century.
After listening to the album the previous evening I was slightly disheartened as what I heard bore little resemblance to Jazz, and for that matter was at times badly mixed and altogether a poor effort with weak tracks unworthy of a b-side.
Luckily the live set started off like a fire cracker, pulsating chords thronged into the hall from the Hammond organ as 'Sad Sister' opened the night. Unfortunately the energy dissipated some what after the organist picked up his violin for an incongruous folk ditty.
My poor friend put his head in his hands and muttered that this wasn't good.
The band proceeded through the set only to literally run out power as the entire set was brought to halt due to a power failure. Speculation points to the late Esbjorn Svensson reaching out from the occult to put an end to this musical Hindenburg.
The band at this point took a small intermission to reassemble and address the technical hitch.
The Concert sadly continued and folky pop-rock instrumentals with no obvious improvisations effused from the stage.
My friend did not write his review, as in the end nobody profits from a slating.
Upon exiting, the air was thick with the smell of stale rugby scores and musical sterility.
Our accommodation for the night was in the shape of a Youth Hostel where we were kept up after the drunken louts from the rugby duel bickered and giggled until 3am, at which point a man with a lighter sat uneasily on one of the lower bunks and flicked his lighter a few times before passing out on the mattress. He proceeded to engage in the liveliest sleep talk for full hour mentioning something about 'interesting and bastard' in a thick Glaswegian accent. Finally at 6am I closed my eyes and surfaced two hours later feeling petrified.
Our connection to Dunfermline was on time and the delightful circular route took us to the holiday inn where the Swedish faux rock stars assembled. My friend had his interview and we chugged back to Edinburgh in the back of a Vauxhall Corsa courtesy of his friend from Aberdeen making an appearance. We lunched at a confused middle eastern restaurant off Grassmarket where the menu boasted of Kurdish delicacies juxtaposed to Indian items such as Biryani and Naan.
Monday morning, caught my 9.27 back from Durham to Kings Cross, changing at York and I feel utterly renewed. New direction, new focus and new message, from here on after, I am the John Peel of Jazz.
To round off a good weekend my Jazzzman has vouched for me and I'll be at Jazz on 3 by the middle of month next for work experience.

Episode 7 of The Benny Cash show aired 13/12/09
Happy festivas,
The show was a hoot today, with smooth Jazz and classic swing hits. Unfortunately due to a technical failure of my recording programme, only the first 30 minutes was salvaged. So to cut the disappointment out I've only released this episode as a best of that's about 13 minutes long. On the plus side, I had pre-prepared the comic skits and just added them onto the show so you can still enjoy the funny bits.

I was enormously pleased with the show, although it was a drastic one. BS reporter Benjamin Carsh was canned live on air, Arthur Minge presented the latest game show format from Libya called 'Who's your Favourite Dictator' and A few dark monologues were thrown in for good measure. Episode 5 of The Benny Cash show aired 29/11/09
Hello, Bonjour, Wie Gehts Cashers.
I've had some complaints that the link isn't obvious enough, so voila. CLICK THE TITLE OF THE POST.
The show is now pushing the ratio of talk/music to about 70/30, that may even be too much. A disclaimer was added to the beginning of the show in fear of running into legal threats.
Guests on the show included a return of Wyndham O'Clock and a first time appearance of the Spectre of Matthew Twilight - The creative genius behind water colours. Current affairs discussed included the most expensive transport, Buffalo slaughtering, Mince pie ice cream, recycling for vouchers, and Santa School. We also had a phone in for the worst Christmas present ever received.
A young girl named 'Mahoona Sunset' phoned in to explain that her brother said she could have anything in his room that she wanted. What a dastardly excuse for a gift, the cheap skate.
Benjamin Cash exposed the truth behind the 300 deaths at NHS university hospital Basildon. And I've now realised he's about as funny as a toenail, so he'll no longer be continued. Some creepy monologues in the form of a pensioner recalling the events at an annual folk dance and a piece about a man peeping in on the public.

Greetings Cash fans,
A fresh feel to the show this week as recommended by Wynn from the previous week. With an injection of popular Jazz to increase access to the music and make it punchier all round, the whole show felt slicker.
Notable news items included the poignant record label 'SyCo' that Susan Boyle had her 'I dreamed a dream' album released on. The 'real' reason why Enid Blyton was banned by the BBC and Why the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China has no reason to celebrate as long as there is no Disneyland. I have also started to lean towards a 'mockumentary' style by adapting eerie backing tracks to play while I narrate the spoof news stories. My alter-alter ego news reader and in depth analyser Benjamin Carsh is now a regular feature.

Got Sasha Grey to say hi to my loyal fans
More cultural information for you guys, but I managed to get tickets for the screening of 'The Girlfriend Experience' by Steven Soderburgh featuring the multi-talented Sasha Grey. After the performance an interviewed ensued from the Times Film critic before questions being opened to the floor - guess who's hand went up first. I asked whether or not her work in the adult film industry had helped her to lose any inhibitions and allowed her to be a more natural actress. She came alive and duly gave a lengthy response finally ending with a 'yes'.
After the mob had asked her more questions including a Dominatrix enquiring whether or not she reinforced a cliché that call girls are victims etc
After the show got a photo and then a quick mobile interview, its super gritty and super amateur. Thoroughly proud that she said hello to the Benny Cash viewers though, click the title as always.

The Benny Cash Show aired 15/11/09
A First on the Benny Cash Show; the very first guest was none other than ex-Watercolours front man/doppelgänger for Robert Pattinson, Wyndham O'Clock. Arriving in the glamour of a hi-jacked parcel force delivery van he added a new element to the show. He began by discussing his preference for pretentious herbal teas before disclosing his recreational heroin habit. There was Chemistry from the get go. O'Clock described the chemistry as animosity. To put it into context, I would describe it as Brown resenting Blair for never being no. 1. Almost a spiteful love-hate with constant attempts to 1-up and undermine the other.
You can see the sparks flying as the opposition is squared up. After the heroin remark I was speechless. What ensued was a competition to dumbfound the other, a task I successfully met by enquiring after the ailments that followed the disastrous career of seminal 90's group Watercolours.
Not only did the show have the first guest, but also its first - and second caller. Thank you to Irene and Steve for the compliments and wise song requests.
The show marked the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall as well as the 20th anniversary of Aardman creations Wallace and Gromit. Due to the dates coinciding, I set out to find out the link that forged these two events in the same annal of history.
Due to popular request another cash-rap followed the triumphs of last weeks performance. Datis made sure it was caught on camera so the event faulted 3 times before a successful rendition - professional appearance of the show thus dashed on the rocks.

Time out with Benny Cash aired 12/11/09
Hello my adoring Cash fans.

Brand new thursday 4-6pm slot, and a brand new theme tune that will forever be associated with the name Benny Cash (except for the guy who had it before me, no clues).
Very excited with the opportunity to work with a different show, a blend of travel news with my dark humour mixed in with some chilled tunes to take you through work - if that's where you're tuning in from. Quite the depressing setting though, alone in a sealed perspex booth with a broken halogen tube, watching the daylight fade away till I'm left with the light from the computer monitor and a desk lamp - that I later discovered - to illuminate my notes. No one upstairs and the rain was beating down on the car park below. Did a silly skit about a new Iphone app Virgin released to calm nervous flyers and some rant about the disappearing Uyuni of Bolivia. The best part was my idea for a human safari which in a nutshell sees the American death penalty idea turned into a profitable business enterprise for the already condemned.

Episode 2 of The Benny Cash show aired 8/11/09
Thoroughly into my groove, confidence sky high and nerves were buried in the trenches of the Somme. Remembrance Sunday on the show, many a dedication to the troops from the bygone era to the present day conflicts in Afghanistan. Very solemn and bleak -especially as the recording failed outright. Read out Siegfried Sasson's vivid war poetry in between the playlist. News quirks about Alan Stamford having his knighthood revoked due to fraud, and the Large Hadron Collider addled by a piece of falling baguette causing a gas leak and several months worth of set backs.
Then courtesy of a friend the night before, a suggestion of a 'Rap' dedicated to the Great David Haye after his victory over the Russian 'Beast from the East' Nikolai Valuev should be featured on the Benny Cash Show - It was done, to such a success that I was asked to repeat it so it could be filmed (by Datis) and featured - as it is now - on the radioMK facebook site, as well as my own. This has since sparked a trend of imitators and 'free-stylers' on the Station, a bench mark that will not easily be met.

The First Show- Aired 1/11/09
A ridiculously nervy start to my glittering career. I believe I lost a total of 3 days sleep leading up to the debut on the 1st of November. The theme was "Black History Month" for the month past of October. I felt really confident pitching this to the Radio MK guys as a relevant, cultural idea. Having not seen who the producers were I felt rather sheepish when I did eventually meet up. I sat in a chair facing Charles - the Grand Fromage - saying he liked my application for the station, so there I am -as Waspish as you can get - opposite Charles - As Black as you can get replete with dreads - and me cringing as I watch myself talking about my idea for black history month. Alas, he was overwhelmed and I was offered the Sunday 12-2 slot. The Show is basically my music i.e. Jazz, electronica, Chillout etc interspersed with relevant cultural news and anything else that catches my eye.
